Dear Spiritual Family,
As we awaken each day, we are given a choice. In essence, the Universe is asking a question, “What mindset will you put on today?” Will it be one that is weighted down by sadness, upset or confusion? Or will we choose instead one of optimism and joy?
Dr. Wayne Dyer in his book, The Power of Intention writes:
“The Universal Mind of Creation is in a constant state of supplying. It never shuts down, it takes no vacations, there are no days off, and it’s perpetually giving forth… Allowing this all-giving Source into your life means becoming aware of the resistance you may be placing in the way of the abundance that’s always being supplied.”
We can think of this as the “daily bread” we ask God for in our Lord’s Prayer – “Give us this day our daily bread.” If we have mistakenly “put on” that “resistance” mindset of lack or self-doubt, of distress or fear, we are essentially holding out the good that is always present for us to receive, embrace and enjoy!
On the other hand, if we choose to clothe our thoughts and feelings with hope and self-encouragement, with positive expectancy and a grounding in the spiritual principles that have guided us, then our day will reflect that choice.
Sure, there may be times when circumstances “beckon us” to revisit our “mindset wardrobe,” and don thoughts of worry or disillusionment. The ego is ever vigilant to try and turn our day away from what is for our highest good. But we have the God-given power of choice and we can say to that little voice, “no!” And at times, when it is louder than usual – “Hell no! I’m choosing Heaven today, this instant.” As A Course in Miracles reminds us: “The power of decision is my own.”
So, asking again, “What mindset will you put on in this moment?” We see you clothed in the love, the abundance, and the joy that God supplies each of us with, and you’re looking good. You’re looking real good!
We love you,
Rev. Steve and Mary
