Dear Spiritual Family,
On their way to land on the moon in April of 1970, were astronauts Jim Lovell, Jack Swigert and Fred Haise. When Swigert performed a routine stirring of the oxygen tanks, there was an explosion that disabled the electrical and life-support systems aboard the service module. “Houston, we have a problem!” was the message from Commander Jim Lovell. Through amazing efforts by the astronauts and Ground Control and the grace of God, they returned to Earth safely. Hallelujah!
Well, all this to say, “Heaven, we have a problem!” We appear to be spinning out of control here on planet Earth. We have forgotten Who we are. We think we have fallen out of favor with God and with each other. We think we are separate from God and from each other and God’s grace. What are our options to get back on course? And Who do we call on to help us?
Dr. Wayne Dyer wrote a beautiful book, There’s a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem. Jesus wrote a book, A Course in Miracles. Wayne Dyer was an ardent student of ACIM. If you and I are still for a moment, this won’t come as a surprise – the solution to our “problem” is forgiveness! In the words of A Course, “That is our only function. That is why we are here.”
We are Spiritual Beings incapable of sickness or death or hurting one another or ourselves in any way. Absolutely, we are appearing to be able to do these and a thousand other things to ourselves and others, even to proffer that God is dead.
The thing is, when we seek to forgive in the way and with the understanding that Jesus teaches, along with Wayne Dyer and Dr. David Hawkins and Ekhart Tolle and a thousand other illuminates, we look from the Christ we are, straight past the appearances to the Christ “they” are. And we find, with great delight, what our friend, Lance Lein was so fond of saying – “Nothing But God Here!”
Many of you have heard Mary and me sing the song, “Why Wait for Heaven?” The words come from A Course in Miracles – “Those who seek the Light are merely covering their eyes. The Light is in them now. Enlightenment is but a recognition, not a change at all. The Peace of God is shining in You now.”
We are on this spiritual path to unleash the Power of Love on the world, the one close to home and the one far away. The Course teaches, “Forgiveness removes the blocks to the awareness of Love’s Presence. Thus, a reasonable question is “Do I want to be an active participant in this Divine Solution?”
If so, then Holy Spirit, put me on that “Team” and help me forgive at depth. You know where and when and how and who I should start with. You are with me every step of the way. After all, God made You, Holy Spirit, for this purpose!
Let’s work together to get ourselves and all others back to the Kingdom of Heaven where we all belong. Hallelujah!
