In this week’s video message, “You and These Holy Weeks,” Rev. Steve and Mary share the concept of focusing on Holy Week in an expanded way. Jesus, in Chapter 20 of A Course in Miracles, tells us what can be gained as we reflect on the events leading up to Easter Sunday Morning. When we take the “higher road” that he describes, we don’t, in his words, “spend this holy week brooding on the crucifixion of God’s Son but happily in the celebration of his release.”
In her piece, Mary shares an insight she gained from The Work of author and teacher, Byron Katie. To learn more about these helpful tools, go to www.thework.com.

Going Deeper with our April 3, 2022 message
If you would like to take this message deeper, here are two questions you can work with. Use these in your own self-reflection or in discussion with others.
- In preparing for this Easter, what thought, belief or opinion might you be holding onto, that if released, frees you to a fuller experience of The Resurrection?
- Much of Rev. Steve’s focus this week is on forgiveness – A Crown of Thorns or the Gift of Lilies. Can you share a time when you experienced a significant change for the better when you forgave?
We would love to read your thoughts in the comments below.

I used to resent the fact that my old church to beat the bushes trying to find 12 men whose feet could be washed on Holy Thursday when they had tons of women who had provided hundreds of hours of service to that church available. During one of my first Easters at Unity Church of the Hills, Mary reminded me that the Angel asked the women who came to the tomb on Easter morning to carry the message of the Resurrection. The Angel didn’t insist that only a male could carry the message. I’ve been enjoying Easter a lot more since realizing that truth.
