Dear Spiritual Family,

In Chapter 11 of A Course in Miracles, Jesus speaks, “I am your resurrection and your life. You live in me because you live in God. And everyone lives in you, as you live in everyone. Can you then perceive unworthiness in a brother and not perceive it in yourself? And can you perceive it in yourself and not perceive it in God?”

Is it easy to wake up, go through our day and close our eyes at night, reflecting on the good in all the faces that cross our minds, even most of them? It’s not easy. It’s just a mindset that brings us closer to God. Here’s the part where we often ask for help – just to be willing to see our “difficult” sisters and brothers more compassionately. It doesn’t mean, we have to “go to lunch with them” or call them on the phone and have a chat. I (Rev. Steve) think it is progress, to simply sit in our quieter times and seek to know the truth about “those” beings.

I recently had the experience of reaching out to someone that I had been estranged from for some time. The result didn’t go as I had hoped. Quite the opposite. My ego got bruised. (I felt a bit crucified.) 😊 My heart knew better but it took a few days to realize that I certainly didn’t want to stay upset. So I added this person to my daily prayer, hoping to know the truth about him. If he “lives in me” as Jesus is teaching, I want him to feel loved. It’s not easy but it is well worth the effort. (Now you can, if you’d like, add me to your prayer list, seeing me, doing this work faithfully.)

Even though Easter is close to six months away, the idea of the crucifixion and the resurrection can be a helpful topic virtually anytime. Do I extend a “crown of thorns” to the “enemy” or the lilies of forgiveness? Crucifixion or resurrection?

Some proof that real spiritual progress is being made is helpful. Jesus speaks to this as well in this same chapter of A Course in Miracles: “You will awaken to your own Call for the call to awake is within you. If I live in you, you are awake. Yet you must see the works I do through you, or you will not perceive that I have done them unto you. Do not set limits on what you believe I can do through you or you will not accept what I can do for you.”

We encourage you to feel your Divine union with our Wayshower as we let him show you (and us) the way to peace and harmony in this day and the days to come. We don’t need to wait for Easter to receive the blessings that its deepest teachings hold for us.

We love you,

Rev. Steve and Mary

Going Deeper

  1. Have you ever known a better time to more diligently apply the spiritual teachings that have most resonated with you?
  2. Think about the “evidence of God working in you and through you,” the ones that helped convince you that you were not alone. Share one or two of those experiences.

We would love to read your thoughts in the comments below.

God bless you. We love you,

Rev. Steve and Mary

Due to excessive family strife in my life probably due to a sibling’s passing, my spiritual guide asked to stop all political and business sale texts, unsubscribe from the majority of email I was getting bombarded with on a daily basis. I got off WhatsApp and Messenger last year. She asked me about the number of GroupMe groups I was in & I discontinued all but a very close group with whom I had a service commitment. It’s been a real relief to be away from the constant barrage of communication that were creating more strife and distractions in my life.
