Dear Spiritual Family,
Edwin Markham – “He drew a circle that shut me out – Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout. But love and I had the wit to win: We drew a circle and took him in.”
I, Rev. Steve, have often been touched by the simplicity of the poet Markham’s words. And at the same time, have not always been willing to “pick up the pencil” and draw the larger circle even though all my spiritual training has taught me the great wisdom in doing just that – making the “circle” larger, more compassionate, more true – bringing more and more of my sisters and brothers into my heart.
In the video message for January 21, I share with you a metaphor that came to me as I contemplated this lesson. I think it is important to let this particular piece be shared with you in the video form with little comment here.
What I can say here, is that you find as comfortable a place and time as possible to experience it. To me as I think about it after the recording, it gives new meaning to the phrase, “Jesus, take the wheel!”
We, as God’s Holy Children, have all the help we need to open the floodgates of All that will bless us, enrich every aspect of our lives, and hasten the revelation of Heaven on Earth. Enjoy!
We love you so,
Rev. Steve and Mary
I think this message meant more to me than any other. Thank you. I love you both very much.
