Dear Spiritual Family,
Happy Labor Day Weekend! We hope it will prove refreshing and fun for you and yours.
In the video message this week, we address “problems.” If you are completely “problem-free,” we celebrate that with you. However, if, like most of us, you are up against a particular challenge or a set of them, we trust that you may find some help in our sharing.
The root of the word “problem” means “to drive forward.” Often, we find ourselves “being driven under” by our problems instead. The essence of what we’re offering here today is that our problems can actually “drive us” to grow in consciousness.
Mary opens the message with a reminder from A Course in Miracles, that all disease (in all of its various forms) “is a defense against the truth.” While our egos want to consciously or unconsciously maintain these defenses, our true nature, Christ, has the answers.
I, Rev. Steve, draw from our friend and mentor, Dr. Roger Teel in his classic, spiritual work, This Life Is Joy. He dedicates an entire chapter in this book entitled, “This Problem Is Possibility.” You’re encouraged to review it for greater insight into this perennial wisdom. The personal story that Rev. Steve reads from this chapter elucidates this teaching.
To address our problems – in whatever form they may present themselves, I offer these challenges are surrounded by the Field of Infinite Possibilities. Focusing on the problem, maintaining “defenses” against it, denies the healing – the possibilities that the Universe freely provides.
On the other hand, when we allow our Essence to move into the “driver’s seat,” we are in the best mindset to allow the answers to come. In the video message, you are given the opportunity to experience this.
We find Inspiration in this personalized affirmation of Jesus’ teaching: “In the world, I have tribulations. I have problems – big and small, but the I AM of me has overcome these problems.”
We trust that you will feel our love and support as you allow these Heaven-sent solutions to bubble up to the surface of your awareness – in ways absolutely perfect for you. And as you do, we hold with you that the outcomes will be greater than what you could have imagined – Divinely designed by our loving God.
