Dear Spiritual Family,

“I bless you with the Love of God which I now share with you.”

When you and I extend a sincere blessing, audibly or silently, we give a true gift and we simultaneously receive a true gift. In essence, we reclaim a part of ourselves and our authentic power.

As we share in the video message, there is much on the minds of Americans this week – the ravages of the wildfires in Southern California, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the Inauguration of our 47th President and yes, the National Championship to be played. On the world stage, there is the impending initial release of hostages and a tenuous cease-fire in the Middle East.

Like most of us, you may be wondering, what is mine to do or be as these and other events unfold? How can I bring my energy and presence to any of these events to make a real difference? How might I pray in such a way that my prayers can get through; can truly be answered?

The answer can be found in Jesus’ words:  “I love you for the truth in you, as God does. Your deceptions may deceive you, but they cannot deceive me. Knowing what you are, I cannot doubt you. I hear only the Holy Spirit in you, Who speaks to me through you. If you would hear me, hear my brothers in whom God’s Voice speaks. The answer to all prayers lies in them. You will be answered as you hear the answer in everyone. Do not listen to anything else or you will not hear truly.

“Believe in your brothers because I believe in you, and you will learn that my belief in you is justified. Believe in me by believing in them, for the sake of what God gave them. They will answer you if you learn to only ask truth of them. Do not ask for blessings without blessing them, for only in this way can you learn how blessed you are.” (A Course in Miracle, Text, Chapter 9, II “The Answer to Prayer.)

This message, like most that we endeavor to present calls for the highest in us to practice the Universal Laws that remind us of Who and What we all are. And in these words from our Master Teacher, we are given Divine instruction on a practice to reclaim our true power – the Christ in each of us.

Dr. King learned from Mohandas K. Gandhi the principle of Non-violence which worked for both in their critical endeavors because it is based in this Law. Inherent in man is the wholeness God Is.

Jesus also provides the “mantra:”

“Say to everyone: Because I will to know myself, I see you as God’s Son and my brother.

As we do so, we will awaken to the Christ indwelling and we will play our vital roles in these days and all the ones to follow.

We Love You and we Bless You,

Rev. Steve and Mary
