Dear Spiritual Family,
The title of today’s video message is “Walking in Two Worlds – Sleepwalking in One or Waking in the Other?” In essence, the more we are awake to walking in the Light of God, our natural state, the easier the path, the more happiness we experience.
Our “other” state of being, the one we made up, is invested in our turning away from the true Self, in order to justify its (the ego’s) existence. It searches, frantically at times, to find “support” for its positionalities and witnesses to its beliefs.
The greater our investment of time and focus is on our Natural State, on our Essence, on our Christ Beingness, the more clarity we have to see through the thin disguises of the “sleeping” self.
While the ego is insistent on body image, or body challenges, or what one body can do to another, the Christ within, boldly declares, “I am not a body. I am free, for I am still as God created me!”
We might ask ourselves, “Is it worth the time and effort, the spiritual reading and meditation that deepens my awareness of Truth, as me, in me, and through me?”
We attract into our lives people and circumstances that are consistent with our consciousness. On one hand, the more we invest in upset, frustration, and holding grievances, the more we have to be upset about and in so doing draw to us the people and circumstances that support this perception.
Conversely, the more we focus on, harmonize with, and give energy to love, abundance, generosity of spirit, light, and joy, the more we attract those people and situations which resonate with these spiritual ideals.
Alan Cohen offers this practical affirmation: “I use all events and experiences as opportunities to practice the presence of Love.”
Happy Trails!
We love you,
Rev. Steve and Mary
