Dear Spiritual Family,

Recently, after returning to our home after a two-week road trip to Texas, I found Mary doing some pretty major and very intentional cleaning and clearing. After a brief respite, she enrolled me in the plan and in a very loving way, “put me to work” helping to keep the “plan” moving along.

She was careful to explain to me the reasoning behind the clearing and the repositioning of certain things to provide more balance and grace and even abundance in our home. Almost immediately, I could feel the shift in a positive way in my own energy. And lest I thought, “Is this really worth the extra effort,” I was reminded of the teaching of Neem Karoli Baba, “The best form in which to worship God is every form.”

As I attempted to apply this valuable lesson in more areas of my everyday life, I found myself, “looking for God” more mindfully. This morning on my daily walk, I encountered a large, very beautiful, black rabbit. He even remained near the path long enough for me to take his picture. Soon after, a precious bluebird appeared – another “form” for worshiping God. Two different individuals that I encountered on this trek, reflected back to me the joy and lightness and blessing I was feeling as I walked. Two more “forms” of God indeed.

One of our greatest teachers in our life together is Paramahansa Yogananda. He wrote, “The glory of God is great. He is real and He can be found. Silently and surely as you walk on the path of life, you must come to the realization that God is the only object that will satisfy you; for in God lies the answer to every desire of the human heart.”

So here, I express my gratitude to my precious wife, Mary, for helping me to clear my own internal and external paths to experience more of God.

And we might ask, what “clutter” might you consider clearing to bring more peace and joy, more abundance and light onto your path? How might you support yourself and those close to you in facilitating your “pursuit” of the Divine – the One Thing that is the “answer to every desire” of your beloved heart?

We love you and are so grateful to be on the path with you,

Rev. Steve and Mary
