Dear Spiritual Family,
With all the rainy weather we’ve been experiencing these last few days in North Georgia, Mary and I have been searching for some movies that “move” us. And, as always, the Holy Spirit has come through!
One such film is the recently released, The Hill. It’s based on the true story of Rickey Hill, a baseball player who had to overcome a debilitating physical handicap to realize his dream. But as a child and then as a young adult, Rickey had to also deal with a domineering father, ironically a hard-headed preacher who absolutely “knew what was best” for his son.
Young Hill was deeply religious. His faith in God served him throughout his early life as no doubt it continues to this very day. Guided and empowered by his willingness to “live” his spiritual understanding, he finally was able to realize his life-long dream. Essentially, he partnered with the Divine within himself and became unstoppable.
And as is so often the case, family and friends, even the stubborn father, experienced profound inspiration and healing because one person would not give up on a heartfelt dream.
So our question on this winter’s day is, “what dreams are bubbling up in the fertile soil of your consciousness?” What earnest dreams are we willing to partner with God, in order to realize in our life experience? If indeed, “with God, all things are possible,” certainly more of Heaven waits to be revealed on earth!
What if we pause, in deep reflection and ask of our Self, “what life-affirming dream is seeking to become a reality in my life?” And as this waiting gift begins to become clearer, can we ask, “Father-Mother God, Holy Spirit, Jesus, will you partner with me to bring this or something better to fruition?” We know there will be no delay in the answer for it is indeed “the Father’s good pleasure to give us the Kingdom” – the revelation of Heaven here and now.
We love you,
Rev. Steve and Mary
