Dear Spiritual Family,
It is May and a time when millions of students will be graduating. Mary just finished baking cookies for our neighbor, Wilson, who will be graduating from high school in a few days. Our twelve-year-old grandson will graduate in a few days to Middle school. A lot going on around here.
These millions of individuals, some bound for colleges and universities, some for trade schools, and others, moving on up to what can be rewarding work and new frontiers, are hopefully, ready for the challenge.
So what about you? Wherever you may find yourself in the arc of your life, are you open to a “graduation” of a different kind – one that takes place within the sacred and hallowed ground of your Mind? I’m speaking here of a quantum leap in awareness that embraces our Divinity and empowers us to do the great work of Spirit here and now.
Jesus in John 14:10 said, “Do you not believe that I am with my Father and my Father is with me? The words that I speak, I do not speak of myself; but my Father who abides with me does these works.” And in John 14:12 – “Truly, truly, I say to you, He who believes in me shall do the works which I do; and even greater than these things he shall do because I am going to my Father.”
To “believe” in Jesus the Christ, we must take him at his word, “You are the light of the world.” The “you” of course, is all of us. To begin to more fully accept this Truth is to “graduate” from the thinking that we are somehow the exception in this great teaching.
We are the Christ. This is what we must ultimately learn. We are the Self that God made. And while we don’t yet fully believe this, to hold it in our hearts keeps us moving in the right direction. And it empowers us to pray, to think, and to love in such a way, that is of the Father. This is our Wayshower’s hope for us.
So, let’s make him happy, as we walk across the mystical stage of our unfolding consciousness, to do the work that we are all called to do. Time to move the tassel to the “graduated” side? Let’s do.
We Love You,
Rev. Steve and Mary
