Dear Spiritual Family,
There is a message, we might even call it a “Divine Reminder,” on every U.S. coin and every U.S. bill – “In God We Trust.” It is the official motto of the United States and has appeared on our coins since 1864 and on our paper currency beginning in 1957.
A basic teaching in New Thought is that God is our Source. Another is that the world is consciousness and that ideas are not just fleeting, non-substantive thoughts. But when we earnestly focus on them, we empower them to move from thought to substance to reality. In Matthew 8:13, Jesus says, “As thou hast believed, so it be done unto you.”
We draw from the Field of Infinite Possibilities that which is in coherence with our dominant thoughts and emotions. In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson:
We lie in the lap of immense intelligence, which makes us receivers of its truth and organs of its activity. When we discern justice, when we discern truth, we do nothing of ourselves, but allow a passage to its beams.
Coming back to this “Divine Reminder,” we might ask ourselves, “What am I trusting in God to do or to be?” If God is Source, the Source that created our very Essence, is not this Source equipping me with all things necessary for me to not only survive but indeed to thrive? “Am I trusting in God to constantly enfold me in unconditional Love?” “Am I trusting in God to provide all the Help that I need to move through whatever is mine to deal with in this moment?”
Quantum theorist, Max Planck wrote, “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” What’s being suggested here is that we look at this simple, yet incredibly powerful statement as a reminder that “with God, all things are possible.” In doing so, we are amplifying our faith in truth and calling forth Divine outworkings in our lives.
Indeed, “It is the Father’s good pleasure to give us the Kingdom” – the Kingdom of abundance, the Kingdom of healing and wholeness, the Kingdom of Happiness and Love and Peace. We can trust God to always be there with the Help, seen or unseen, that we need, to meet us right where we are in consciousness, and move our Divine ideas into reality.
