Dear Spiritual Family,
We are all being “pursued,” but it is not by anything scary; it is that which supports and blesses us that would “catch up with us.” In this video message, we are essentially asked the question, “what good might I be missing that would increase the quality of my life?”
For some, it may be greater abundance in finances, radiant health or more harmonious relationships. For others, it may be a breakthrough in the field of work or simply, a deeper sense of peace with the world around us.
As an opening to the message, Mary offered this prayer shared with us from a dear friend:
This day is a gift to me. This day comes to me with a flood of blessings. I am open to receive these blessings with a thankful heart. This day gives me opportunities to share my gifts with others. I share love, joy, peace, gratitude, and abundance. I am filled with gratitude and love for this day, a day like no other day. Thank You, God! All is well! And so it is!
Such a prayer, deeply felt, sets the stage for being “caught” by the goodness our Father wants for His Children.
A great teacher in our lives was Arnold M. Patent, a successful Real Estate Attorney in New York who had a profound spiritual transformation and began sharing what he called Universal Principles. He taught that complete abundance is our natural state and to the degree that we are not experiencing that abundance, we are literally holding it out.
As we embrace God as, in the words of Ernest Holmes as “Divine Principle and Divine Parent,” we bring together both a faith in the great good that “pursues” us and a knowing that we are completely worthy of that good in our lives.
Holmes writes in Words That Heal Today, “Christ, the Son, and God, are one in essence. The life of God is the life in man. The universal Spirit is also the spirit of the individual man and the Father of all creation.” There is, as Emerson said, “one mind, common to all individual men.” “He who is the son is one with Him who is the Father.” The difference is not in essence but in degree.
Beloved, Jesus teaches that each of us is deserving of this great wave of abundance. May we become still, quiet our minds, turn toward God, and embrace all that He wills for us.
We love you,
Rev. Steve and Mary
