Dear Spiritual Family,
“Where is Heaven?” That’s a question that may be asked more often by children than adults but virtually all of us have wondered what the answer might truly be.
While many religions over the centuries, trying to provide an answer, have pointed upwards toward “the heavens,” most Spiritual Masters have pointed in the direction of the heart. Jesus said it most succinctly, “The Kingdom of God is within you.” He wasn’t, of course, referring to our bodies but to our Spirit.
In the video message “Revealing the Kingdom,” the emphasis is on “revealing” God’s Kingdom through our awareness—choosing to metaphorically “scratch-off” the Universal Scratch Tickets provided to us every day, and many times a day. We’re encouraged to focus on these tickets and not the ones readily available from our egos. The “payoff” of the former is consistent and rewarding and a blessing to many. The costs of the latter guarantees we lose out on a higher quality of life and only adds to the struggles that we see in our world today.
Through clear intention and with the tools of kindness and compassion, forgiveness and love, we are given numerous opportunities to reveal the Kingdom in ourselves and others. A smile, a loving gaze, a soulful prayer, a kind word … are all means to realize the gifts that await our willingness to serve our God, to truly be the ministers of God that we are called to be.
As we quiet our minds as suggested by Eckhart Tolle in the reading in the video, we allow a space to be opened up that provides “a sense of well-being, of alive peace…” From this space, we purposely move on the surface of our “tickets” and invariably do our part in revealing the Kingdom of Heaven here and now.
