Dear Spiritual Family,

When you think about it, we are all “Spiritual Family.” Beyond all appearances, we are all the Children of God. We are the Divine Issue of the One Creator.

The wise German philosopher, Wolfgang von Goethe said, “Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least.”

The truth of our shared Divinity is what matters most. This understanding served us well this past week in our journey to Western North Carolina. We speak of this in our video message to you. As we share there, we prayed for direction for this trip and felt from the start a very clear call to be there in whatever capacity would serve “what matters most.”

Your generosity and prayers for these folks dealing with so much there and all others in Helene’s path, make a great difference. Neighbors helping neighbors, volunteers from throughout the Region, organizations like Samaritan’s Purse, the United Cajun Navy, so many others, all coming together to love and support.

And so we, in our mission to help, left hundreds of pounds of water and food and many other needed items. We gave our all to those folks in the areas in which we were directed. And Love, expressed in smiles and hugs and words of encouragement to the residents and fellow volunteers is what matters most. It is what lingers and is remembered. It is what heals and blesses.

We were given the opportunity to be the messengers of your love, your generosity, and your genuine caring for those who are all our Sisters and Brothers in Truth. Jesus said in Matthew 7:20, “By their fruits, you shall know them.” Deep in the hearts – the True Hearts of each of us – is the desire to bear fruit, to bring the fruits of compassion and healing to those who walk the planet with us and to those who have transitioned to their new experience of life beyond the veil.

And the Essence of this fruit? It is Love. Love that restores hope and in Its fullness, reveals our Oneness.

As our Nation deals with Helene and now Milton, as we move through a contentious election cycle, as each of us faces whatever is before us and as we look across the globe and see and feel so many moving through the hardships of war and loss, let us rest our focus on the Truth to find comfort and peace.

Each of us, when centered in a mindful embrace of our Christ Nature, are powerful beacons of this great Love. It is the Love That God Is, the changeless Love That We Are. It is the Love that gives our life true meaning – the Love that is unfettered by the “things of this world.”

As we fill our minds and hearts with this understanding, we joyfully join the Bringers of the “Light that lighteth up the world.” As we do so, we are gently supported by our guardian angels, by the Holy Spirit, and by our Wayshower, Jesus. They are always there for us; how good to know and remember!

Thank you and bless you for sharing your Light and your Love.

We Love You,

Rev. Steve and Mary
