Dear Spiritual Family,

Though the Lenten Season began just a few days ago, we felt it might be helpful to offer our thoughts on the subject.

Of course, we can’t really think of Lent without thinking of Easter. The two are tied in our various religious communities along with Passover in the Jewish faith and this year, the observation of Ramadan in the Muslim faith which spans much of the same time frame.

The focus of Lent has much to do with letting go or giving up certain thoughts, things or habits to properly prepare our hearts for the advent of the Resurrection and the deep meaning it may hold for us.

We may ask ourselves, prayerfully of course, “What might I give up, release, let go of in this season of Lent, 2025?” “What would be beneficial to my intention to grow in Spirit and add even greater meaning to my ‘Easter experience’ this year?”

How about, for example, replacing fearful thoughts of particular, physical challenges with thoughts and feelings of radiant health and wholeness? Perhaps we can let go of some “rusty” grievances that our Christ Nature has been prompting us about for a while now.

If we’ve had a financial set-back or other similar challenge recently, we could say “goodbye” to thoughts of regret or “I should’ve” or “I could’ve” and instead focus on the good that surrounds us.

However we are directed by our Higher Self in these endeavors, we can allow ourselves the true gift of a growing Christ awareness each day, leading up to Easter Sunday. In so doing, we more deliberately prepare ourselves for this sacred time.

Our Wayshower, Jesus the Christ, isn’t waiting for the Easter Morning revelation that we may experience. Nor is he focused on the trials and tribulations that so many have assigned to him and his journey through the crucifixion and the Resurrection. His focus, we can assure you, is on each of us. And it is a focus of unconditional Love, here in this season as in every season, in every moment, just as he promised.

So, let’s allow ourselves to “marinate’ in his Love as we seek to “wring” all of the good that Lent may hold for each of us – a time to let go of what no longer serves us, and to more fully embrace the thoughts, the feelings, the things that lift us and bless us and those around us. Happy Lent!

We Love You,

Rev. Steve and Mary
